FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1) When do the movies begin and when do you open each night?
Since
we are a drive-in; movies begin at "dusk"; we open 1 hour before "showtime".
2) What is your movie booking policy?
We exhibit G, PG, PG-13 and some R rated films geared towards family or young adult entertainment. We
do not exhibit NC-17 films which contain heavy language or sexual content.
3)
How often do you change movies?
We change our films on Fridays. For box
office hits, we will normally keep them as one of our double "features" for two or three weeks.
4) Do you run "New releases"?
We run New
Releases as they are made available to us..
5) Do you show 3D Movies?
No- 3D and digital film technology will not be at the drive-in for a few years primarily
because the current 3D and digital technology can not work in a drive-in theatre environment. (As technology chances, this
of course will change).
6) Do you show classic drive-in trailers?
We have several old trailers that we run at the beginning of the night and show the famous "Jumping
Hot Dog" intermission trailer during the break between our features. We also start our evening on a patriotic note
by showing "America the Beautiful".
7) Why don't you charge by
the "car load"?
The movie industry requires a per person
admission charge for recent movie releases.
8) Do you show movies in the rain?
We will show movies in the rain if we have customers at the theatre before showtime. Should we have
no customers at the published showtime, we will wait 30 minutes past the published showtime before we close the theatre
because of weather.
9) Can I bring food to the theatre?
We have a NO OUTSIDE FOOD POLICY.. To operate the theatre at a profit and to keep
us surviving; depends heavily on the sales of concessions. Many people think that we make money on ticket sales, but
the sad truth is that most of the ticket profits are returned to the movie companies for rental of the movies; therefore,
concession sales is what keeps us open! Further, we have found that some folks choose to bring in outside food and leave
the "trash" for us to pick-up. This costs us money, and further hurts our chance of making this theatre survive.
If you have a food allergy, we do make exceptions, but you must let us know ahead of time, so that we can accomodate your
request.
10) How do you hear the movies?
The movie sound is broadcasted to your car radio via FM transmission. You can turn your radio to 90.3 FM for
stereo movie sound!
